Wingly's procedure following recent events surrounding Covid-19

Following recent government announcements in the UK, flying with passengers will be permitted on the 4th July 2020. Here is an update on the situation at Wingly, along with some advice and recommendations for our pilots. We strive to update this page regularly.

What measures have been put in place?

Whilst the government has allowed flying activity to resume on the 4th July, social distancing measures must be implemented and respected.

What advice does Wingly give?

For bookings made for flights after the 4th July, Wingly's advice is:

Don't feel obliged to accept a booking, make use of the rescheduling option and select a date you feel more comfortable with.
If you are unable to reschedule the flights, that you cancel the flights once the passengers have been informed. For information on how to cancel a flight, click here.
You ensure your passengers that they will be fully refunded, or that their gift cards will be extended and ready to use at a later date.
Keep your Wingly calendar updated to avoid receiving bookings on dates that you can't fly.

Will the website still be fully functioning?

Yes, the Wingly website will remain functioning throughout this period, which means that passengers will still be able to send you booking requests.

Should you wish to prevent any new bookings, please use the Wingly availability calendar that will block selected dates, and will apply to all of your displayed flights. To learn how to use the calendar, please click here.
We also encourage our pilots to use this time to work on their Wingly profiles, and ensure that all flights are posted and ready for expected demand as flying returns.

Remember that protecting yourself is also protecting others around you. Hygiene remains a priority, hence simple measures like washing your hands and avoiding contact with people at risk are very effective. If you do have the slightest of symptoms, please don't forget to contact your health care professional who will advise you on how to proceed. Do wear a mask and gloves and isolate yourself in order to limit the spread of the virus.

If you have any difficulties, you can contact us directly at or by phone on +447708405306. We are available from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 17:30.
