What is the difference between fixed date and flexible flights?

When adding a flight, you have two options in terms of date type :

Flexible dates : If you are available to make this flight on a regular basis (e.g. every weekend), choose flexible dates and fill in your availability. You will always have the possibility to accept or decline a passengers' request. They will only be able to book the flight on your selected availability. This option generally allows you to maximise your chances of receiving bookings.

Fixed date : This is the best option if you already know you will be doing this flight on a specific date and that you want to offer seats on your plane. This flight will disappear from your profile after its execution date.

Once the date type has been selected, you can choose a deadline after which you no longer wish to receive booking requests for the flight being created. You can choose to take booking requests until the last moment one week before the flight. Keep in mind that once a booking request has been made, you have 48 hours to respond before it expires.

If you wish to use the flexible dates option, we encourage you to have a look at our article which explains how to use your Wingly calendar here
